Hempstead, NY – The 2024 season Hofstra field hockey kicks off with a home game on Sunday, September 1, against nationally-ranked Old Dominion. First whistle from the Hofstra Field Hockey Stadium is set for 12 p.m.

Old Dominion is coming off a 14-6 record in 2023. Ranked #18 in the Penn Monto/National Field Hockey Coaches Association Preseason Poll, Old Dominion won the Big EAST Championship and qualified for the NCAA Tournament last season. Hofstra holds an all-time record of 1-11 against the Monarchs, including last season's 4-1 defeat in Virginia.
A special pregame ceremony will take place prior to the noon start against Old Dominion, with the Hofstra Field Hockey Stadium being renamed Cindy Lewis Stadium in honor of longtime Hofstra administrator Cindy Lewis. Click the link at the top of this release to RSVP for the pregame event.
