Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra women's lacrosse team earned a slew of academic honors from the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association, it was announced today.
As a team, the squad earned the IWLCA Academic Honor Squad designation. In addition, 12 individuals were named to the IWLCA Division I Academic Honor Roll.
The Pride had a 3.62 grade point average during the 2023-24 year as a team to earn Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Academic Honor Squad accolades. To qualify for this prestigious Academic Honor Squad, the team must have posted a 3.2 or higher team grade point average for the academic year.
To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.
The most recent academic awards for the women's lacrosse program come on the heels of the team earning the Coastal Athletic Association's Academic Excellence Award for 2023-24 as the team with the highest collective GPA in their respective sport.
