Hempstead, NY - Hofstra University Head Men's Golf Coach Joe Elliott announced today that senior Joseph Giamanco has been named the Pride's team captain for the 2024-25 season.

"For the past three years, I have never come across a harder working student-athlete than Joseph," commented Elliott. "Aside from his accomplishments on the course, Joseph is a real student of the game and always willing to work on all facets of the game. It is without hesitation that I am proud to name Joseph Giamanco our team captain."

Giamanco, a Middletown, New Jersey native, has played 75 rounds in 30 events for the Pride. He boasts a career average 78.43 strokes per round to rank second on the team. This past season he competed in nine events and averaged 78.74 strokes per round. He had his best round of the season during the first round of the Panther Invitational on October 26, 2023, when he shot a 72 at the Meadow Brook Club in Jericho, New York.
