Nile Love all earned top-five finishes at the Mets Outdoor Track & Field Championships Saturday at Icahn Stadium in Randalls Island, New York. Torrillo earned first place in the mens 10000m race, while Cartnal finished in second place. Beck finished fourth in the 3000m steeplechase and
Nile Love earned a second place finish in the long jump. As a team, the Pride placed 7th with 32 points. Rowan lead in first place in the 13-team field with 196.5 points.
In the mens 10000m race,
Daniel Torrillo finished with a time of 31:39.83 to place first and
Jamie Cartnal finished in 33:33.12 to place second.
Brian Beck led the Pride in the 3000m steeplechase with a fourth place finish and time of 9:54.28, while
Trevor Zappulla finished the 1500m race with a time of 4:23.33 to place 30th.
Cade Jaipaul finished the 400m race in 57.19 while
Sameer Grewal and
Zachary Kohner represented Hofstra in the mens 800m race.
Nile Love led Hofstra in the long jump with a mark of 6.47m to finish second, while
Adam Gordon finished 8th with a mark of 5.52m.
Hofstra will be back in action at the Bryan Clay Invitational beginning on Thursday, April 11.
