New York, New York - In his second indoor conference championship, senior
Nile Love represented the Hofstra men's indoor track & field team on the podium with a second place finish in the long jump at the 2024 Coastal Athletic Association Indoor Track & Field Championship from The Armory in New York, New York.
Love finished 2nd with a program record and personal best mark of 7.33m (24-00.75), 0.01m behind North Carolina A&T's Aeneas Reed. Love's previous record in the long jump was a mark of 7.05m at the Wagner College Shootout on December 9, 2023, at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, New York.
Abraham Longosiwa represented the Pride in the men's 5000m race to earn a fifth place finish with a time of 14:10.39. Carlos Santos from Stony Brook took the individual title with a time of 14:03.60, with Northeastern's Patrick Cullen finishing 00:01.01 seconds behind to take second place.Â
In the men's distance medley race, Hofstra runners

Cade Jaipaul,
Brendan Capodanno,
Brian Beck,
Sameer Grewal, and
Trevor Zappulla finished with a time of 10:49.32 to take 7th place. Northeastern's runners took first with a time of 9:57.17.
Hofstra also had
Adam Gordon competing in the pole vault, and Gordon finished 13th with a mark of 3.75m (12-03.50).
The Hofstra men's track & field team will return to the track on Friday, February 23, in the second day of the CAA Indoor Track & Field Championship for the 3000m race, 4x800m relay, and the 4x400m relay.
