Hempstead, NY - Hofstra University Head Men's Golf Coach Joe Elliott announced that Granada Hills (CA) Charter High School senior Joseph Wong has committed to joining the Pride during the recent NLI signing period. Wong will begin his collegiate career in the Fall 2025. 

"Excited to welcome Joseph to our program," said Elliott. "He is an accomplished player with a very impressive resume at the scholastic and junior level. I look forward to him helping our team in 2025-26 and beyond."

A team captain, Wong has been a three-time Most Valuable Player at Granada Hills and ranks among the top 75 players in California for the Class of 2025. He is the two-time defending West Valley League champion, winning in 2023 at two-under and in 2024 at five-under. Wong also competes on the American Junior Golf Association Tour and the Southern California Junior PGA Tour and has posted numerous first-place finishes. He is also a member of the prestigious Toyota Tour Cup circuit. 

Wong is an honor student and plans to major in accounting at Hofstra.
