Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra University men's soccer team picked up a pair of Coastal Athletic Association weekly honors today as graduate defender Pierce Infuso and freshman defender Thengill Orrason were named CAA Defensive Player of the Week and CAA Rookie of the Week, respectively, following their performances in the Pride's 4-0 victory over Delaware in the regular season finale. 

Infuso (Merrick, NY) earned his first CAA Defensive Player of the Week award following a two-assist effort on the offensive end and anchoring a defense that limited the high-scoring Blue Hens to just five shots on goal. 

Orrason (Reykjavik, Iceland) picked up his first CAA award of his career following a goal and an assist against Delaware. His goal, the first of his career, gave Hofstra  a 2-0 lead and his second career assist was a helper on the opening goal of the contest. 

Hofstra clinched a CAA Championship berth with the win and earned the No. 4 seed. The Pride will face No. 5 Charleston Thursday night at Elon.
