Hempstead, NY - Hofstra graduate student Taylor Mennella was named to the Preseason All-CAA Women's Lacrosse Honorable Mention Team, it was announced today by the league office. 

Mennella is a two-time All-CAA postseason honoree having earned All-CAA Second Team honors following the 2022 and 2023 campaigns. 

Mennella had a strong season last year as she totaled 54 points on 31 goals and 23 assists, while also adding seven ground balls and four caused turnovers. She was the Pride's most potent offensive threat, leading the team in goals, assists, and points while playing in 16 games (15 starts). 

In her career, Mennella has played in 50 games (39 starts) and has 125 points on 82 goals and 43 assists. She also has 25 ground balls and eight caused turnovers. WIth 18 more goals she will become only the 15th member of the 100-Goals Club at Hofstra. In addition, her career assists total is six shy of 10th all-time in program history. 

Hofstra opens the 2024 season on Saturday, February 10 when it travels to Long Island for a 12 p.m. contest.
