Hempstead, NY - Hofstra redshirt sophomore
Nikki Mennella added another postseason accolade today as she was named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Mid-Atlantic Region First Team.
All IWLCA All-Region selections are now eligible to be named to a national IWLCA All-American team. The IWLCA will announce the 2025 All-American teams on May 24.
Mennella is Hofstra's first all-region selection since Shannon Boyle was a second team pick in 2022 and the first first team selection since Alyssa Parrella in 2021.
Mennella was previously named the CAA Attacker of the Year in 2025 as well as an All-CAA First Team honoree.
Mennella had a spectacular season as she posted 99 points on 62 goals and 37 assists, while also adding 67 draw controls, eight ground balls, and six caused turnovers. Her points per game average of 6.60 is a new CAA record and incredibly the PPG average is the 11th-best in the history of NCAA Division I lacrosse. All three of her season scoring totals are the second-most in a single season in program history. Mennella was a five-time CAA Offensive Player of the Week award recipient this season and twice earned national honors - USA Lacrosse Magazine on February 25 and IWLCA on April 22.
