Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra men's basketball team will continue the series with Iona and this season the teams will battle in New Rochelle on December 6. 

This will mark the 44th all-time meeting between the teams and the series is as close as it could be with Iona holding a 22-21 lead. Hofstra won last season's meeting, 83-78, at the Mack Sports Complex. 

Hofstra has previously announced non-conference games versus Princeton (November 10), at George Washington (November 14), versus South Florida (November 30), at St. Louis (December 9), at Duke (December 12), vs. St. John's at UBS Arena (December 30), and its participation in the Gulf Coast Showcase on November 20-22 in Estero, Florida. The Pride will open play in the tournament against Buffalo. 

Hofstra is coming off a 2022-23 campaign in which the Pride went 25-10 overall (16-2 CAA), captured the regular season Colonial Athletic Association title, and advanced to the second round of the National Invitation Tournament after defeating Rutgers in the first round. The Pride welcomes back nine returnees including three starters in Tyler Thomas (16.5 ppg, 3.8 rpg), Darlinstone Dubar (10.3 ppg, 4.8 rpg), and Jaquan Carlos (6.7 ppg, 4.8 apg). 

Iona went 27-8 a season ago and advanced to the NCAA Tournament.
