Hempstead, NY - Hofstra men's basketball student-athlete Cruz Davis has been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.

Davis, a native of Plano, Texas, carries a 3.63 grade-point average as a liberal arts major.

Davis earned numerous accolades this season, including being named CAA Player of the Year and CAA Scholar-Athlete of the Year in men's basketball.

This season, Davis averaged team highs of 20.1 points and 4.7 assists per game. He appeared in all 35 games and averaged 37.9 minutes per game.

Davis was also a three-time CAA Player of the Week and three-time Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association Player of the Week honoree in 2025-26. A member of the CAA Championship All-Tournament Team, Davis is also a repeat selection to the CSC Academic All-District Team.

To be eligible for Academic All-District and Academic All-America honors, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.50 grade-point average and meet established criteria for playing time.

Davis is now eligible for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot.
