Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra men's basketball team earned a pair of awards from the ECAC today as Cruz Davis was named to the All-ECAC First Team and Preston Edmead garnered ECAC Rookie of the Year honors. 

Davis, the CAA Player of the Year and an All-CAA First Team selection, averaged team highs of 20.1 points and 4.7 assists per game. He appeared in all 35 games and averaged 37.9 minutes per game. Davis was also a three-time CAA Player of the Week and three-time Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association Player of the Week honoree in 2025-26

Edmead was the CAA Rookie of the Year this season and also garnered All-CAA Second Team accolades. He ranked second on the team in both scoring and assists with 16.1 points and 4.4 assists per outing. He appeared in all 35 games as well and averaged 33.9 minutes per contest. Edmead earned the CAA Rookie of the Week award seven times this season.
