Hofstra Heads To Philadelphia For Showdown With Drexel

Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra men's lacrosse team will make the short trek to Philadelphia on Saturday when it takes on Drexel. 

Opening face-off from Vidas Field is scheduled for 11 a.m.

Hofstra is now 3-8 and 1-3 in conference play. The Pride dropped a narrow 10-8 decision to Towson on April 8 in its last game. Matt Elder had a pair of goals in the game, while Hofstra also got a goal and an assist from Griffin Turner and Ryan Sheridan

Drexel is 7-3 overall and a perfect 4-0 in Colonial Athletic Association play. The Dragons defeated Stony Brook, 15-14, in overtime this past Saturday in their most recent contest. Sean Donnelly led the way with six points on five goals and one assist. 

Hofstra is 24-11 all-time against Drexel. The series began with a 23-13 Pride win in the penultimate game of the 1986 season. Drexel has won four straight in the series with Hofstra's most recent win coming in 2018.
