Bearcats and Pride To Meet On Saturday In NIT Second Round At The Mack Sports Complex

Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra men's basketball team will look to continue its postseason run on Saturday when it hosts Cincinnati in the second round of the National Invitation Tournament. 

Tip-off from the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex is scheduled for 2 p.m. 

Tickets are available by visiting HofstraTickets.com, calling (516) HOF-TIXX, or by stopping by the Hofstra Athletics Ticket Office in the lobby of the Mack Sports Complex. 

Hofstra students will be admitted free of charge by stopping by the Hofstra Athletics Ticket Office. Hofstra students must pick up their tickets in-person at the Mack Sports Complex Ticket Office.

The game will air on ESPN+ and WRHU (88.7 FM) will have an audio-only broadcast available as well. Links to both, as well as the live statistics, can be found on this page and on the men's basketball schedule page at GoHofstra.com.

The Pride is 25-9 this season. Hofstra is coming off an 88-86 overtime victory over Rutgers on Tuesday in the first round. The victory was Hofstra's first in the NIT since 2006, when the Pride defeated Nebraska and Saint Joseph's. Tyler Thomas starred for Hofstra in the win over Rutgers with 25 points, including the game-winner in overtime, while Nelson Boachie-Yiadom had 10 points and eight rebounds, along with the tying basket at the end of regulation. 

This is Hofstra's seventh all-time appearance in the NIT. 

Cincinnati will bring a 22-12 record to Hempstead this weekend. The Bearcats defeated Virginia Tech, 81-72, on Wednesday in the first round. David DeJulius led the way with 21 points, six rebounds, and seven assists. 

Saturday's game will be the first-ever between Hofstra and Cincinnati in men's basketball.
