| By:
Hempstead, NY - Winners of five consecutive games, the Hofstra men's basketball team will make the trek to Northeastern on Wednesday in a nationally-televised contest. The game will air on the CBS Sports Network.

Tip-off from Matthews Arena is scheduled for 6 p.m. (note start time).

As noted the game will be the Pride's third this season on the CBS Sports Network. WRHU will also have an audio-only broadcast of the game on the HAWC. Links to all, including the live statistics, can be found on this page and on the men's basketball schedule page at GoHofstra.com.

Hofstra improved to an impressive 17-8 overall and 10-2 in Colonial Athletic Association play with a 79-58 win over Stony Brook on Saturday. The win was the Pride's fifth straight and kept Hofstra atop the conference standings. Tyler Thomas had 29 points and 11 rebounds to lead the way, while Jaquan Carlos tallied 10 assists and 10 rebounds.

Northeastern is 8-14 and 4-7 in league play following a narrow 74-73 loss to Elon on Saturday. The Huskies, who have lost four straight, got 22 points from Chris Doherty and 20 points from Jahmyl Telfort.

Hofstra leads the all-time series with Northeastern, 28-25, and has won five of the last seven meetings. The series has been quite competitive over the last few years as the squads met in the conference championship game in both 2018-19 and 2019-20. The Pride has won 11 of the last 16 meetings between the teams and swept the season series a year ago, winning 72-50 in Boston and 76-73 in Hempstead.
