Pride Puts Win Streak On The Line As They Strive For CAA Regular Season Title Saturday

| By:
Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra men's basketball team will have a lot at stake on Saturday as the Pride will look to win the regular season Colonial Athletic Association title and extend their incredible 10-game win streak. It will also be "Senior Day" for Hofstra and the program will honor Nelson Boachie-Yiadom, Aaron Estrada, Petey Galgano, Tyler Thomas, and Warren Williams. The game will air on MSG Network and is being presented by Apple Bank. There will be free Apple Bank hoodies to the first 2,500 fans in attendance!

Hofstra will be looking to capture its third CAA regular season title in the last five years as the Pride earned the regular season crown in 2018-19 and 2019-20.

The win streak is now at 10 games and is tied for the ninth-longest in program history with similar length streak during the 1999-2000, 1959-60, and 1957-58 seasons. It is only the 11th streak in school history of 10 or more games and the longest win streak since the 16-game streak during the 2018-19 campaign.

Tickets are available by visiting HofstraTickets.com, calling (516) HOF-TIXX, or by stopping by the Hofstra Athletics Ticket Office in the lobby of the Mack Sports Complex during normal business hours.

The game will air on television on MSG and stream on FloHoops and WRHU (88.7 FM) will have an audio-only broadcast available. Links to both, as well as the live statistics, can be found here and on the men's basketball schedule page at GoHofstra.com.

The game will be the seventh in the series for The Players Trunk playing cards with Saturday's card featuring Jaquan Carlos

Hofstra is 22-8 and 15-2 in CAA action as they head into the regular season finale. The Pride won a trio of games last week, including home victories over Drexel and Hampton and a 68-65 road win over Stony Brook on Saturday night.

Northeastern enters the week with a 10-17 overall record and a 6-10 CAA mark. The Huskies have won two straight, including a 69-57 win over William & Mary last Saturday, heading into their game tonight at Drexel.

Hofstra leads the all-time series with Northeastern, 29-25, and has won six of the last eight meetings. The series has been quite competitive over the last few years as the squads met in the conference championship game in both 2018-19 and 2019-20. The Pride has won 12 of the last 17 meetings between the teams and swept the season series a year ago, winning 72-50 in Boston and 76-73 in Hempstead.
