Pride Prepares For Tuesday Tilt With Brown

| By:
Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra women's lacrosse team will have a short turnaround as the Pride will host Brown on Tuesday afternoon.

Opening draw control from James M. Shuart Stadium is slated for 2 p.m. The game is part of a doubleheader with the men's lacrosse team, which hosts Long Island at 11 a.m.

Tickets can be purchased at HofstraTickets.com, by calling (516) HOF-TIXX, or by stopping by the Hofstra Athletics Ticket Office in the lobby of the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex during normal business hours.

The game will be broadcast on FloSports and WRHU will have an audio-only broadcast available on 88.7 FM and WRHU.org. Links to both, as well as the live statistics can be found on this page and on the women's lacrosse schedule page at GoHofstra.com.

Hofstra moved to 2-0 on the season with its thrilling 11-8 win over #25 Vanderbilt on Saturday. It was the Nikki Mennella Show as the star-studded freshman tallied five goals and three assists to lead the way in the win. She leads the team this season with 10 points on seven goals and three assists. Jess Smith has played every minute in goal and has totaled 15 saves so far this season.

The game will be the season opener for Brown, which compiled a 7-8 record a season ago.

Tuesday's encounter will be the 13th meeting between Hofstra and Brown in women's lacrosse. The Bears lead the all-time series, 8-4, but the Pride has won the last four meetings dating back to 2001.
