Hofstra Opens Three-Game Home Stretch Against Lehigh

Hempstead, NY – The Hofstra women's basketball team will face its second straight opponent from the Patriot League when the Pride returns to the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex for a Sunday contest against Lehigh. Sunday will be the first of three consecutive home games for the Pride to begin the month of September.
 
Tip-off against the Mountain Hawks is set for 2 p.m.

The Pride improved its record to 4-2 on the season following a 54-43 road win over Army West Point on Tuesday. Emma Von Essen scored a team-leading 11 points against the Black Knights, and Brooke Anya led the way with nine rebounds.
 
Coming off a 58-57 win over CAA member Drexel on Tuesday, Lehigh is currently 6-1 on the season. Ella Stemmber is the leading scorer for the Mountain Hawks with 15.6 points per game.
 
This will be the 12th all-time meeting between Hofstra and Lehigh, and the first since a 74-71 win for Hofstra in 1997. The Pride's all-time record against Lehigh is 10-12.
