Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra men's basketball team will host St. Joseph's (LI) on Monday, November 6 for the Pride's 2023-24 season opener. 

The game is part of a special "Class at the Court" day at the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex and will tip-off at 11:30 a.m. 

A large number of local school students are expected at the Mack Sports Complex as they are treated to a few interactive educational lessons pregame before watching the Pride take on the Golden Eagles.

Hofstra is coming off a 2022-23 campaign in which the Pride went 25-10 overall (16-2 CAA), captured the regular season CAA title, and advanced to the second round of the National Invitation Tournament after defeating Rutgers in the first round. The Pride welcomes back nine returnees including three starters in Tyler Thomas (16.5 ppg, 3.8 rpg), Darlinstone Dubar (10.3 ppg, 4.8 rpg), and Jaquan Carlos (6.7 ppg, 4.8 apg). 

St. Joseph's (LI) went 13-12 overall last season and 10-6 in the Skyline Conference.
