Bethlehem, PA - Hofstra freshman
Abraham Longosiwa had another strong showing to start his Pride career as he finished 11th in the prestigious Paul Short Run Men's College Gold 8K on Friday at Lehigh University.
Longosiwa finished in a time of 23:17.3 to narrowly miss a top 10 finish by less than a second. His time bests the mark of 23:17.5 set by
Alex Masai at the 2019 Paul Short Run as the second-fastest time in an 8K race in Hofstra men's cross country history. He was the top freshman finisher in the race.
He was one of four Hofstra runners in the race as junior
Paul Markovina finished in 226th place with a time of 24:51.0, junior
Aiden Willey in 315th place with a time of 25:23.4, and freshman
Brian Beck in 380th place with a time of 26:04.1.
Hofstra is back in action on Friday, October 28 when it takes part in the Colonial Athletic Association Cross Country Championship in Newark, Delaware.
