Hofstra Set to Compete at Lehigh Paul Short Run

Hempstead, NY – Following a break in competition, the Hofstra men's cross country team will head to Pennsylvania on September 30 to run in the 48th annual Paul Short Run, hosted by Lehigh University in Bethlehem.

The Men's College Gold 8K race will take place at 11 a.m. from the Goodman Campus Cross Country Course. Mitchell Timing will provide the live results of all men's and women's races at the Paul Short Run. The Pride will compete as one of 47 NCAA men's cross country programs in the Gold 8K. Hofstra will race against fellow NCAA Division I opponents UAlbany, Army West Point, Binghamton, Bostin University, Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Dayton, Duke, George Mason, George Washington, Georgetown, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Iona, La Salle, Lafayette, Lehigh, Marist, North Carolina, Ohio, Penn, Providence, Richmond, Rutgers, Siena, Saint Joseph's, Stony Brook, Texas A&M, UC San Diego, UMass Amherst, UMass Lowell, Utah State, Utah Valley, Villanova, William & Mary, and Yale.

The Pride return to action after racing against Saint Peter's on September 16 in a home meet. Hofstra swept the top five of the 5K race against the Peacocks en route to a 15-40 win, with Abraham Longosiwa leading the way with a time of 14:16.30. Hofstra Head Men's Cross Country Coach Vincent Giambanco announced that Longosiwa will be joined in the race by fellow Hofstra runners Brian Beck, Paul Markovina, Michael Silveri, and Aiden Willey.
