Hempstead, NY – The Hofstra field hockey program has announced its schedule for the upcoming 2022 season of competition.

The fall 2022 schedule will feature a total of 17 games, with 11 games against non-conference foes and six fixtures featuring Colonial Athletic Association competition. The Pride will host nine games from Hofstra Field Hockey Stadium, including three games against conference opponents. Of Hofstra's 17 opponents, three qualified for the 2021 NCAA Division I Field Hockey Tournament.

The Pride's season officially begins on August 27 against Division I newcomer Stonehill on its home turf, followed by an in-state road contest against Wagner on August 29. Hofstra's non-conference schedule features home games against Yale, LIU, Sacred Heart, Bryant, and Rider, while the Pride will travel for games versus Villanova, Maine, Kent State, and Syracuse.

Hofstra kicks off its CAA slate on September 30 against Northeastern, and the first road conference game of the season will take place on October 4 against Towson. The Pride will also host CAA foes Monmouth and William & Mary, while traveling to face Drexel and Delaware in conference action.

Hofstra finished the 2021 season with seven wins, and sees three All-CAA honorees return for the new year.
