Hofstra has won back-to-back games to improve to 9-7 overall and finish the regular season with a 3-3 conference record. The Pride's potent offense flourished in the last two games as Hofstra put up 18 goals in an 18-11 win over William & Mary on April 23 and then matched that total in an 18-12 win over Elon in the regular season finale this past Saturday.
Drexel is 10-7 and 4-2 in league play. The Dragons dropped an 18-12 decision to James Madison on Saturday in its regular season finale. Prior to that outing they had won three consecutive games.
Hofstra will be making its third straight appearance in the CAA Championship (tournament not played in 2020). The Pride will be looking to advance to the championship game for the first time since 2019. The Pride won the 2007 CAA title and advanced to the championship game in 2005, 2006, 2010, 2013, and 2019. Hofstra joined the CAA beginning with the 2002 season.
Hofstra leads the all-time series with Drexel, 28-11. The Dragons won this season's earlier meeting in Philadelphia by the score of 18-7.
