New York City, NY – As the Hofstra women's outdoor track team competed at the Metropolitan Championships from Icahn Stadium, Morgan Serkes and Sophia Masciarelli finished in the top three of the 1500m and 10,000m, respectively.

Serkes ran in the 1500m, while Masciarelli competed in the 10,000m. Serkes finished second in the 1500m with a time of 4:50.11, and Masciarelli took silver in the 10,000m with a time of 38:32.19.

Meanwhile, Leah Iglesias put in a team-best time of 31.44 in the 200m, while Luise Wildner ran in the 800m and finished with a time of 2:32.79, and the Hofstra 4x100m team of Deandra Baker, Rachel Lande, Abby Briggs, and Lauren Dietrich clocked in at 57.48.

Hofstra returns to action next Thursday, April 14, from Walnut, California at the Mt. SAC Relays.
