Charlottesville, VA – Hofstra women's outdoor track runner Jordyn McDonnell represented the Pride in the 3000m Steeplechase at the Virginia Challenge from Lannigan Field in Charlottesville, Virginia.

A junior distance runner from Lake Ronkonkoma, New York, McDonnell earned a fifth-place finish among a field of 12 runners, clocking in at 10:46.38. McDonnell broke the tape just .11 seconds behind Princeton's Alexis Allen in fourth and finished 8.51 seconds ahead of Eastern Kentucky's Saskia Pingpank in sixth.

Morgan Serkes will run for Hofstra in the 1500m at the Hopkins/Loyola Invitational on Saturday, April 23, from Baltimore, Maryland. McDonell and the rest of the women's outdoor track team will return to action on April 28 at the West Point Twilight.
