WTRK: Brady Runs in 60m Dash Finals at West Point Tune-Up

West Point, NY - The Hofstra women's indoor track team was back in competition this Saturday from the Gillis Field House on the United States Military Academy campus for the West Point Tune-Up.

The Hofstra women had 12 student-athletes running in four events on Saturday, with a majority of the Pride running in the 60m dash. Sydney Brady qualified for the 60m dash final after finishing with the sixth-fastest preliminary time, a mark of 9.88 in heat six. In the final, the freshman from Franklin, Massachusetts ran a time of 9.80 to finish eighth.

Jackalynn Orellana finished fourth in the 500m with a personal-best time of 1:28.95, while Natalie Chua ran a personal-best time of 2:44.46 in the 800m, and Rachel Lande placed second in her section of the 200m with a time of 32.05.

The Pride return to action this Sunday, February 27, at the BU Last Chance Meet in Boston, Massachusetts. It will be the third time that Hofstra has competed in an indoor track meet at Boston University this season; the team made the trip for the BU John Thomas Terrier Classic on January 28, and the team traveled again on February 12 for the David Hemery Valentine Invitational.
