Staten Island, NY – For the second time in the indoor track season, Hofstra men's track distance runner
Paul Markovina earned a third-place finish in the Mile while competing at the Wagner College Invite from Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, New York.
Markovina finished the Mile event with a time of 4:18.07 to place third, finishing .75 seconds in front of Monmouth's Declan McDonnell. The graduate student from Old Westbury, New York previously finished third at the FastTrack Season Opener on December 2, running a time of 4:17.09.
Patrick Wall also ran for Hofstra in the event and finished with a time of 5:23.13.

Adam Gordon, and
Greg Franzetti represented Hofstra in the long jump. Love finished 11th with a mark of 6.43m (21' 1.25"), Gordon placed 33rd with a mark of 5.56m (18' 3"), and Franzetti finished 39th with a mark of 5.18m (17' 0").
James Watterson also competed for Hofstra in shot put, recording a throw of 7.67m (25' 2") to place 31st.
Nayan Chatterjee (43rd, 7.53),
Alec Padron (44th, 7.57), Jonathan Lahav (59th, 8.11), and
Abraham Longosiwa (65th, 10.54) all competed in the 60m dash, while Padron (59th, 39.70), Gordon (64th, 40.60), Cade Jaipaul (66th, 40.96), Franzetti (68th, 42.12), and
Zachary Kohner (74th, 46.31) represented the Pride in the 300m.
The Hofstra men return to action at the BU John Thomas Terrier Classic in Boston, Massachusetts on January 27-28.
