Nile Love of the Hofstra men's indoor track team finished in the top 10 of the long jump at the St. John's Invite, hosted at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, New York.
A junior from Wheatley Heights, New York, Love finished eighth in the long jump with a mark of 6.43m (21' 1.25'') on his first attempt. He placed .13 meters ahead of Molloy's Gianni Macchio in ninth, and his mark qualifies him for the IC4A/ECAC Championship. Joining him in the event from the Pride was
Adam Gordon, who recorded a jump of 5.81m (19' 0.75'') to finish 20th in the event.
Alec Padron finished 33rd in the 300m Dash with a time of 39.18, and he was joined in the race by teammates Jonathan Lahav (40th, 40.76), Cade Jaipaul (42nd, 41.64), and Greg Fanzetti (43rd, 41.66).
Zachary Kohner finished 32nd in the 500m with a time of 1:21.10, and
James Watterson finished 22nd in the shot put with a mark of 7.96m (26' 1.5'').
Hofstra returns to action on December 9 at the Wagner College Invite, hosted by Wagner at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.
