He was selected with the 34th overall pick by the Florida Launch in the 2018 Major League Lacrosse College Draft, and played one season with the Launch before signing with Atlas LC of the Premier Lacrosse League, where he recently concluded his third season. Concannon's play during the 2019 season made him a finalist for the 2019 PLL Oren Lyons Goalie of the Year award.

In 63 career games, Tierney racked up 164 goals and 87 assists for 251 points, topping the program and CAA charts for goals and points in a career, while he finished his time in Hempstead fourth in Hofstra history and sixth in conference history for assists in a career. Tierney's senior season proved to be a special one, as he tallied 43 goals and 22 assists for 65 points, earning himself USILA Second Team All-America and CAA Offensive Player of the Year honors.
