Hempstead, NY - Hofstra men's basketball sophomore Darlinstone Dubar has been named the GoHofstra.com Student-Athlete of the Week. Dubar received 45% of the vote, edging out Trey Rogers of the wrestling team and Jaylen Hines of the women's basketball team for this week's honor. 

Dubar averaged 20.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game in the Pride's contests against Stony Brook and John Jay. 

He started the week with 17 points and six rebounds at Stony Brook and then followed that up with a career-high 24 points and seven rebounds against John Jay. 

For the season he is averaging 13.5 points and 6.1 rebounds per contest. 

Hofstra is back in action on Saturday when it takes on #24 Arkansas in North Little Rock.
