Hampden, MA - Hofstra shot a team score of 325 (+37) and is in 16th place after one round of the UCONN Invitational at Great Horse Golf Course. The Pride is 13 strokes behind 15th-place Fairleigh Dickinson in the 16-team field. 

Joseph Giamanco shot a 79 (+7) and was Hofstra's top scorer in round one as he is tied for 70th in the 90-player field. Jaxon Hummel is tied for 78th at 81 (+9), while Mac Giles is tied for 81st at 82 (+10). Vincent Apostolico had an 83 (+11) and is tied for 83rd. Mayaank Gally shot an 85 (+13) and is tied for 87th. 

Rhode Island leads the field at 282 (-6), four strokes ahead of Army West Point (286, -2). Army's John Heckel Jr. is the individual leader at 68 (-4), one stroke better than Rhode Island's Jordan Brajcich and Andrew DiPetrillo, and Lafayette's Ryan Tall.
