HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. – The Hofstra University women's track team returns to action after a two-month break from competition at the UAlbany Winter Classic on Friday. The meet will take place at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Staten Island, N.Y.

Last Time Out:
Hofstra's last date of competition was on December 7, 2019 when the Pride competed at the Army West Point Cromwell Open at the Gillis Field House on the grounds of the United States Military Academy. Of the runners set to compete in this weekend, three competed in the 60-meter dash including McDonnell, Briggs, Cianciolo, Boese, Stadeker, Conway, Gath, and Masciarelli. Of that bunch, McDonnell finished second among Pride runners with a time of 9.43 seconds which placed 24th, while Briggs raced a time of 9.69 seconds, good for 28th place.
In addition, Suits, Czerwonka and Giannatsis competed in the 400-meter dash. Suits posted a top-10 finish for the Pride, racing to a time of 1:15.01. Czerwonka (1:15.62) and Giannatsis (1:17.26) placed 11th and 12th, respectively.
