Jack Concannon was selected by the Florida Launch in the fourth round of the 2018 Major League Lacrosse (MLL) Collegiate Draft Wednesday night.
Concannon, a native of Lindenhurst, New York, was selected with the seventh pick of the fourth round-the 34th pick overall-by the Launch. The 2017 All-American goalie and two-time All-Colonial Athletic Association first team selection ranks second in the nation this season in goals against average with a 7.03 mark in 11 games for the Pride.
Concannon has made 102 saves for a .570 save percentage to go with five victories this season. He has made 10 or more saves in five games this season including a season-high 13 stops against Villanova.
Last year, Concannon recorded 11 victories with an 8.80 goals against average with 161 saves and a .571 save percentage. In addition to his USILA All-American second team and All-CAA honors, he was also named to the All-ECAC second team.

Josh Byrne was selected with the first pick of the third round by the Chesapeake Bayhawks. He was the 19th pick overall. He was Hofstra's highest MLL College Draft selection since the 2011 Draft. That year, midfielder Steve Serling was selected with the third pick of the second round (9th overall) by the Denver Outlaws and attackman Jay Card was selected with the fifth pick in the second round (11th overall) by the Long Island Lizards.Byrne would go on to earn the 2017 MLL Rookie of the Year Award after a record-setting season.
Concannon and the Pride will return to action this Saturday, April 21 when they travel to Philadelphia for a key CAA contest against the Drexel Dragons at Vidas Field. Game time for the HEADstrong Foundation Hero Bowl tilt is 2 p.m.
