Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra Men's Basketball team will head south this week to the "Old North State" when they begin a two-game swing in North Carolina at Elon on Thursday.
Tip-off from Alumni Gym against the Phoenix is scheduled for 7 p.m.
There will be Pride Productions live video/audio of the game, as well as live statistics. Links to all three can be found on this page and on the men's basketball schedule page at GoHofstra.com.
Hofstra is 14-10 overall and 7-5 in Colonial Athletic Association play following a 1-1 week that included a 20-point win over UNCW on Thursday and a one-point loss to Charleston on Saturday.
Elon is 14-11 overall and 6-6 in the league after an 89-76 win over Delaware last Thursday.
The race for the top spots in the conference standings is certainly heating up now as well. Hofstra is two games out of first place as Charleston leads the way at 9-3 with William & Mary and Northeastern a game back at 8-4. The Phoenix are a game back of the Pride and tied with Towson in the standings.
Hofstra is 5-3 all-time against Elon with seven of the eight meetings occurring since Elon joined the CAA beginning with the 2014-15 season. The first-ever meeting occurred during the 2009-10 campaign when the Pride earned a 70-46 victory over the Phoenix in the NIT Season Tip-Off. Elon has won three straight in the series, including an 89-76 win in Hempstead back on January 7 after Hofstra had begun the series with five consecutive victories.
