MBB: Hofstra Hosts Towson On Senior Day

Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra Men's Basketball team will look to continue its strong play as the Pride hosts Towson on Saturday in the regular season finale.

Tip-off from the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex is scheduled for 4 p.m. Hofstra's senior day ceremony honoring Joel Angus III, Rokas Gustys and Hunter Sabety will begin at 3:50 p.m.

There will be free Hofstra socks for the first 500 students in attendance. All Hofstra students receive two free tickets to every game.

Tickets can be purchased at HofstraTickets.com, by calling (516) HOF-TIXX or by visiting the Hofstra Athletics Box Office in the lobby of the Mack Sports Complex.

There will be live video via SportsLive and Pride Productions live audio of the game, as well as live statistics. Links to all can be found on this page or on the men's basketball schedule page at GoHofstra.com.

Hofstra improved to 18-11 overall and 11-6 in Colonial Athletic Association play with a wire-to-wire 77-61 road win over James Madison on Thursday. Sophomore Eli Pemberton led the way for Hofstra as he posted 22 points, six assists and five rebounds. Freshman Jalen Ray came off the bench and added 15 point and three assists.

Towson enters Saturday's contest with an 18-12 overall record and an 8-9 CAA mark. The Tigers dropped a narrow 80-75 decision at Northeastern on Thursday. Justin Gorham had 28 points and 12 rebounds for the Tigers.

Hofstra is 40-26 all-time against Towson in a series that began during the 1982-83 season. The Tigers swept the season series a year ago after the Pride had done the same during the 2015-16 season. The Hofstra/Towson series, which began with an 86-71 Pride victory, is the Pride's third-most common series in program history. The 66 all-time meetings rank only behind Delaware and Drexel. Hofstra won this season's earlier meeting, 76-73, in Maryland back on January 11 as Ray drained a three-pointer as time expired.
