Hempstead, NY – The Hofstra Men's Lacrosse program hosted its 12th Annual Nick Colleluori Memorial Golf Outing on Monday, October 22 at the Engineers Country Club in Roslyn Harbor, New York.
The golf outing honors the memory of Hofstra Men's Lacrosse alumnus and HEADstrong Foundation founder Nick Colleluori, who passed away after a courageous 14-month battle against non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in 2006.
This year's event was another huge success with more than 100 participating golfers on the Engineers Country Club 6,260-yard, par-71 course, and many others for the post-golf reception and dinner. The event netted more than $40,000 for the men's lacrosse program.
The highlight of the day was the short presentations about family made by Nick's brother, Michael Colleluori. Michael was a four-year (2006-09) letterman for the Hofstra Men's Lacrosse team and is a proud 2009 Hofstra University graduate.
