Palo Alto, CA - The Hofstra University Women's Soccer team resumes NCAA Championship play Friday when it takes on #23 Wisconsin in the second round at Stanford's Cagan Stadium. Game time is set for 4:35 p.m. Pacific Time.

The Pride (16-5-1) advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament for the fourth time in program history with a 4-1 win at #22 (and fourth-seeded) Boston College last Friday.
Sabrina Bryan scored two goals and
Lucy Porter had a goal and an assist as Hofstra opened a 3-0 lead. After a Boston College goal,
Lucy Shepherd closed out the scoring for the Pride.
Jenn Buoncore added to her single season record assist total with her 14th of the season and
Jordan Littleboy also recorded an assist in the contest. Keepers
Jenna Borresen and
Ashley Wilson combined for seven saves.
The Badgers are 13-3-4 on the season and advanced to the second round with a 3-0 win over Memphis in the first round. Dani Rhodes, Maia Cella, and Cameron Murtha each scored goals, and Jordyn Bloomer made six saves. Wisconsin is also making its fourth NCAA Second Round appearance and its third in a row. The Badgers are 0-3 in its previous appearances.
Hofstra and Wisconsin will be meeting for the first time. The winner of Friday's game will advance to the third round on Sunday and play the winner of the No. 1 Stanford-Ole Miss matchup at 1:35 p.m. Pacific Time.
