Hempstead, NY – The Hofstra Field Hockey team will hit the road for two Colonial Athletic Association contests this weekend with a CAA Championship Tournament bid on the line as the regular season wraps up. The Pride, who are 5-11 overall and 2-2 in the CAA, will travel to Drexel (8-8, 1-3) on Friday, October 26 at 6 p.m. before moving down I-95 to face the Blue Hens of Delaware (10-6, 4-0) on Sunday, October 28 at 1 p.m.

As the CAA heads into the final regular season weekend, two of the four conference tournament spots have been filled by Delaware and William and Mary (8-6, 4-1) while a four-way battle between Northeastern (7-9, 3-1), Hofstra, Drexel, and James Madison (5-10, 1-3) is underway for the final two spots. A Hofstra win over Drexel puts the Pride into the tournament as they would hold a tie-breaker over the Dragons and James Madison in head-to-head match-ups.
The Pride put themselves in a good position with a 1-0 victory over the Dukes of James Madison on Friday, October 19 in Hempstead. Hofstra freshman
Cami Larsson scored off a penalty corner with just 2:02 remaining in the second half to give the Pride the victory.
Betty Bosma recorded six saves to post her first collegiate shutout.
Hofstra is led in scoring by Larsson with six goals and five assists for 17 points. Senior

Madison Georgiana (2-3) and senior
Madison Reed (0-7) each have seven points. Bosma has a 2.98 goals against average with 120 saves and a .710 save percentage in 16 games this season.
The Dragons of Drexel are coming off a 3-2 victory over Towson last Sunday. The Dragons are led in scoring by Tess Bernheimer with 11 goals and two assists for 24 points in 16 games. Erin Gilchrist minds the goal for Drexel and has a 2.58 goals against average with 47 saves and a .662 save percentage in 10 games. The Dragons and the Pride will be meeting for the 38
th time with Drexel holding a 20-16-1 series advantage.
The Blue Hens of Delaware enter the weekend coming off a 4-2 victory at William and Mary last Sunday. UD has won five consecutive games entering their Friday contest against Northeastern. The Blue Hens are led in scoring by Greta Nauck with six goals and seven assists for 19 points. Lotte de Koning has added eight goals and three assists. Sydney Rhodes has a 1.78 goals against average in the UD goal with 52 saves and a .703 save percentage. Sunday's game is the 33
rd meeting between Hofstra and Delaware with the Blue Hens leading the series, 25-7.
The 2018 CAA Field Hockey Championship will be held at the University of Delaware with semifinals on Friday, November 2 with the top seed facing the fourth seed at 3 p.m. and the second seed meeting the third seed at 6 p.m. The CAA Championship game is on Sunday, November 4 at 1 p.m.
