Hempstead, NY – The Hofstra Men's Basketball team will look to carry the momentum from another thrilling win into its next contest when the Pride host Elon on Sunday afternoon.
Tip-off from Hofstra's next Colonial Athletic Association contest is slated for 4 p.m. from the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex.
Hofstra will be hosting Family Fun Day on Sunday prior to the Hofstra-Elon game. From 2:30-4 p.m. inside the Mack Sports Complex there will be free family fun, including carnival games, inflatables, food, and more! Please note that this means doors will open one and a half hours prior to the game on Sunday.

Hofstra improved to 9-6 and 2-1 in the league with an 87-81 overtime victory over James Madison on Friday. The trio of junior
Justin Wright-Foreman (26 points, six assists), senior
Rokas Gustys (12 points, 18 rebounds) and freshman
Jalen Ray (18 points, five three-pointers) led the way for the Pride. Wright-Foreman sent the game into overtime with a three-pointer with 1.1 seconds left in regulation, while Gustys reached the 1,000-point plateau in the second half – becoming only the 35th player in program history. Wright-Foreman is now at 991 career points, looking to become the 36th player in program history.
Wright-Foreman leads Hofstra in scoring this season pouring in an average of 24.5 points per game. Gustys is third on the team in scoring with 9.7 points per contest, while pulling down a team-best 10.9 rebounds per game. Sophomore
Eli Pemberton ranks second on the team with 15 points per game.
Elon is 10-6 overall and 2-1 in the CAA following a 72-60 loss at Northeastern on Friday. Four players average in double figures for the Phoenix led by Dainan Swoope's 14.3 points per outing. Tyler Seibring is averaging a team-high 6.1 rebounds to go along with 12.9 points per game. Dmitri Thompson led Elon with 19 points against the Huskies.
Hofstra is 5-2 all-time against Elon with six of the seven meetings occurring since Elon joined the CAA beginning with the 2014-15 season. The first-ever meeting occurred during the 2009-10 campaign when the Pride earned a 70-46 victory over the Phoenix in the NIT Season Tip-Off. Elon won both meetings a season ago after Hofstra had begun the series with five consecutive victories.
