WGOLF: Snak and Ghuman Lead Hofstra On Day Two Of CAA Championship

Williamsburg, VA - Victoria Snak and Jai Ghuman each shot rounds of 79 (+7) Saturday to lead Hofstra, which is eighth after 36 holes at the 2017 Colonial Athletic Association Championship at Ford Colony's Blue Heron Course. The Pride shot a team score of 335 (+47) Saturday and have a two-round total of 668 (+92).

Snak and Ghuman each improved on their first round scores, as Snak cut four shots and Ghuman eight. Snak finished the day tied for 30th in the 40-player field at 162 (+18). Ghuman is tied for 33rd at 166 (+22). Jacquie Faldetta shot a 90 (+18) Saturday and is tied for 37th at 170 (+26). Amanda Bigger is also tied for 37th after a second round 87 (+15). Shannon Haselton is 40th after two rounds at 195 (+51) following a 96 (+24) Saturday.

Delaware, who won the title last season, made a move Saturday with a 295 (+7), climbing three spots into first place with a two-round 601 (+25). UNCW is second at 603 (+27) while College of Charleston is third at 604 (+28). Towson is fourth at 607 (+31) and James Madison is fifth at 615 (+39). Elon is sixth at 624 (+48) and William & Mary is seventh at 627 (+51).

UNCW's Lyberty Anderson remains the top individual scorer heading into the final round after a 72 (E) Saturday leaves at her 142 (-2), three strokes ahead of Charleston's Laura Fuenfstueck.

The final round of the CAA Championship gets underway Sunday morning at 8 a.m.
