Hempstead, NY – The Hofstra Men's Basketball team will look to conclude its three-game home stand with back-to-back wins as they host Drexel on Saturday at 7 p.m. The game is sponsored by Barnes and Noble.

It will be a special day at the Mack Sports Complex with several events going on.
This game will serve as part of the NCAA's "Coaches Powering Forward For Autism benefiting Autism Speaks" initiative for awareness and acceptance of Autism. The men's basketball team will be wearing special t-shirts during warm-ups and the coaching staffs from both Hofstra and Drexel will be wearing Autism Awareness pins. In addition, there will be on-court promotions throughout the games, wristband and t-shirt giveaways, raffles and more.
In addition, Barnes and Noble will be sponsoring the Welcome Back Students promotion at the game. One lucky student will be chosen to take a half-court shot for free books for a semester. Also – Hofstra replica jerseys will be given out to the first 750 Hofstra students.
The Hofstra Athletic Department will also honor a pair of its own during the game as in conjunction with the Hofstra Softball First Pitch Dinner, the three newest retired jerseys from that program, along with the 2017 team, several alumnae and members of the Hofstra Softball family will be recognized during a time out in the first half. John Russo will be honored during a time out in the second half for earning his 100th career coaching victory last season.
Hofstra (11-13, 3-8 CAA) is coming off a 73-65 victory over Delaware on Thursday in which the Pride outscored the Blue Hens by 19 after the break to make up an 11-point halftime deficit.

Hunter Sabety posted 14 points and 15 rebounds for his first Division I double-double.
Drexel brings an 8-16 overall record and a 2-9 conference mark into Saturday's game. They dropped a narrow 104-103 double overtime decision to Towson on Thursday. Rodney Williams led the Dragons with 27 points and 16 rebounds, while Kurk Lee added 25.
One of Hofstra's oldest rivals, Saturday's game will be the 85th all-time between Hofstra and Drexel with the Dragons leading the series, 46-38. The teams first met in the 1958-59 season with the Pride capturing a 70-64 win in that contest. Hofstra had won five straight in the series prior to the Drexel win on January 26, including all three meetings a season ago. Saturday's game will tie the Hofstra/Drexel series with the Hofstra/Delaware series as the Pride's most common opponent all-time.
