Hempstead, NY – The Hofstra Women's Lacrosse team will have a short turnaround for its second game of the season as the Pride will host Wagner on Tuesday in the squad's home opener.
First draw control from James M. Shuart Stadium is scheduled for 2 p.m.

Hofstra will look to start the season 2-0 as they opened the season with a dominating 15-5 win over Bucknell on Saturday.
The Pride had five different goal scorers as freshman
Alyssa Parrella led the team with five goals and two assists, while sophomore
Lexi Lenaghan posted four goals and an assist. Junior
Carlee Ancona tied for team-high honors in assists with two, while adding a goal.

Maddie Fields earned the win with seven saves, while junior
Shea McAvoy posted five ground balls and four caused turnovers. Freshman
Alexa Mattera and Parrella led the team with three draw controls, while freshman
Darcie Smith posted a team-best six ground balls.
Wagner is 0-1 this season having lost a 12-10 decision to Iona last Wednesday. Anna Belle Reilly led the Seahawks with four goals in the contest.
Tuesday's game marks the first-ever between Hofstra and Wagner in the sport of women's lacrosse.
