Hempstead, NY - Hofstra University Men's Golf Coach
Joe Elliott announced the signing of Tim Hall to a National Letter of Intent to continue his educational and athletic career at Hofstra University. Hall will join the Pride in the fall 2018.
Â
"Tim will be an excellent addition to our program at Hofstra," said Elliott. "He is a well-rounded player and I look forward to coaching him during his career with the Pride."
Â
Currently a senior at Westwood High School in Westwood, Massachusetts, Hall has been a member of the golf and ice hockey teams for each of the last three years. He was the Tri Valley League individual champion in 2017, as well as a First Team All-Tri Valley League selection in 2016 and 2017. He was also a
Boston Globe Tri Valley League All-Star selection in 2016 and 2017. During his senior season, which concluded earlier this month, he averaged 37.32 strokes per nine holes. As a junior he helped Westwood to the Tri Valley and Division 2 state championships.
Â
In addition to his scholastic accomplishments, Hall has also excelled as a member of the American Junior Golf Association. He was an US Junior Amateur alternate in 2017 and finished in the top three in qualifying in the AJGA at Blue Hill and the Massachusetts Amateur. Hall was also a top five finisher at the 2017
Golfweek New England Junior and the 2017 Northern Junior qualifier.
Â
Hall chose Hofstra for its outstanding business program and its proximity to New York City. He plans to major in business and pursue a career on Wall Street.
