MBB: Hofstra Looks To Build Off Of Win As It Heads To Philadelphia To Face Drexel

Hempstead, NY – The Hofstra Men's Basketball team will look to build off a solid victory over Northeastern on Saturday as it returns to action on Thursday when it faces Drexel in Philadelphia.

Tip-off from the Daskalakis Athletic Center is scheduled for 7 p.m.

There will be Pride Productions live video/audio of the game with links available on this page and via the men's basketball schedule page at GoHofstra.com. The Pride Productions audio only broadcast can be heard via the portal, on the WRHU mobile app and on WRHU.org.

Hofstra (10-11, 2-6 CAA) ended its six-game losing streak with a 78-73 win over the Huskies on Saturday as sophomore Justin Wright-Foreman tied his career-high with 30 points and senior Brian Bernardi added 16 points.

Freshman Eli Pemberton is second with 13.8 points per game, while senior Deron Powers leads the squad with 109 assists and is third in scoring at 13.2 points per game. Junior Rokas Gustys is averaging 12.1 rebounds per game to lead the Pride.

The teams first met in the 1958-59 season with the Pride capturing a 70-64 win in that contest. Hofstra has won five straight in the series, including all three meetings a season ago. Thursday's game will tie the Hofstra/Drexel series with the Hofstra/Delaware series as the Pride's most common opponent all-time. Hofstra's game against Delaware on December 31 was the 84th meeting between the Pride and Blue Hens.
