Hempstead, NY – The Hofstra Men's Basketball team will host Northeastern on Saturday at 4 p.m. from the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex.

Hofstra (9-11, 1-6 CAA) will look to end its losing skid on Saturday against Northeastern, which enters Saturday's encounter with a 12-7 overall record and a 5-2 mark in Colonial Athletic Association play.
Both teams will be looking to earn a win this week as each suffered a close loss on Thursday. Hofstra fell, 86-80, to Towson, while Northeastern dropped a 69-62 decision at Delaware.
Freshman
Eli Pemberton poured in a career-best 26 points for Hofstra on Thursday. He was 10-17 from the field, hit five three-pointers, and also added five rebounds, three steals and two assists. Senior
Deron Powers added 19 points and six assists in 40 minutes, while sophomore
Justin Wright-Foreman added 18 points and four rebounds.
TJ Williams posted a game-high 28 points for the Huskies in their game at Delaware. He was the only player in double figures for Northeastern as Alex Murphy was next with nine points.
Saturday's game marks the 40th all-time meeting between Hofstra and Northeastern in a series that began during the 1949-50 season. The Huskies lead the series, 20-19, but the Pride won both meetings last season. Hofstra won the game in Hempstead, 65-60, and captured an epic 96-92 triple overtime decision over Northeastern up in Boston last year. The first-ever meeting was a close one with Northeastern winning, 55-53.
