Hempstead, NY – The Hofstra Men's Basketball team will continue its tour of the southern spots in the Colonial Athletic Association this week as it visits Elon on Thursday night at 7 p.m.
The Pride will end the road trip on Saturday when it faces UNCW at 2 p.m.
There will be Pride Productions live video/audio of the game with links available on this page and via the men's basketball schedule page at GoHofstra.com. The Pride Productions audio only broadcast can be heard via the portal, on the WRHU mobile app, on WRHU.org and locally in the Hempstead area on WRHU (88.7 FM).
Hofstra (9-8, 1-3 CAA) will look to end a three-game losing skid this week as it dropped all three games last week.
It was quite the week for sophomore
Justin Wright-Foreman, though, as he totaled 75 points in the three games and is now tied with freshman
Eli Pemberton for the Pride scoring lead at 13.5 points per game. Both players had strong games in Hofstra's 77-71 loss at Charleston on Saturday as Pemberton led the team with 21 points and Wright-Foreman posted 20.
Elon brings an identical record into Thursday's encounter after winning their first conference game of the season, 72-61, over Towson at home last Saturday. Steven Santa Ana and Brian Dawkins are tied for the team lead in scoring at 12.5 points per game for the Phoenix.
Hofstra is 5-0 all-time in the series with Elon. The four most recent meetings have occurred since Elon joined the CAA in 2014-15. Both of last season's meetings were close contests with the Pride winning by four at Elon and then earning a narrow two-point victory in Hempstead. The first-ever meeting in the series was during the 2009-10 NIT Season Tip-Off with Hofstra winning by the score of 70-46.
