WGOLF: Hofstra Remains 17th After Two Rounds Of Bearcat Invitational

Howey-In-The-Hills, FL - Hofstra shot a 353 (+65) as a team and is in 17th place after two rounds of the Bearcat Invitational at the Mission Resort. The event marks Hofstra's first competition of the spring season.

Hofstra is 76 shots off the lead, which is held by Cincinnati (626, +50). First round leader, Akron, is in second place, three strokes behind the Bearcats. Jacksonville in in third place, five strokes back.

Individually, Jai Ghuman had Hofstra's lowest round of the day with an 83 (+11). Ghuman is tied for 87th in the 103-player field with a 174 (+30). Amanda Bigger is tied for 85th at 173 (+29) after shooting an 87 (+15) Saturday. Andrea Neilson recorded her second 88 (+16) in a row and is tied for 90th at 176 (+32). Victoria Snak shot a 95 (+23) and is tied for 95th at 179 (+35), while Jacquie Faldetta is in 101st place at 198 (+54). Shannon Haselton is in 102nd place at 199 (+55).

Danielle Nicholson of Akron and Cynthia Bounleutay of Seminole State share the second round lead at 149 (+5).

Final round action commences Sunday morning.
