Hempstead, NY – The Hofstra Women's Lacrosse team will host a pair of games this week as the Pride will entertain Rutgers on Friday before closing the week with a game against #18 Ohio State on Sunday.
Friday's game against the Scarlet Knights will begin at 7 p.m., while Sunday's encounter with Ohio State will have first draw control at 12 p.m.

Hofstra is 1-5 this season after earning a 13-5 victory over Quinnipiac this past Saturday. Junior attacker
Tiana Parrella had an outstanding game for the Pride with eight points on four goals and four assists to lead the way. Graduate attacker
Lindsay Scott, who missed Hofstra's last game, still leads the Pride with 21 points on 18 goals and three assists. Parrella is second with 18 points on five goals and 13 assists. Senior defender
Shelby Milne has a team-high seven caused turnovers and ranks second on the team with eight ground balls. Senior midfielder
Becky Conto is the squad's leader with 17 draw controls and also ranks third with nine points (7G, 2A). Junior goalie
Alexis Greene earned the win in the Pride's last game with a career-best 11 saves.
Rutgers is 2-7 this season and recently broke a six-game losing skid. They dropped a 16-11 decision to James Madison in their last contest. They have three players with at least 20 points this season as Kristina Dunphey has 29 (22G, 7A), Halley Barnes has 23 (18G, 5A) and Kim Kolodny has 22 (16G, 6A).
Ohio State enters the week with a 7-1 record and has won five straight games heading into their game at Binghamton on Friday. Rainey Hodgson leads the Buckeyes with 32 points on 18 goals and 14 assists, while Cain Dabrowski has 31 points on 23 goals and eight assists.
This will mark the 35th all-time meeting between Hofstra and Rutgers with the Scarlet Knights leading the series, 23-11. Hofstra won last year's contest, 9-5, in Piscataway. The 35 all-time meetings between Hofstra and Rutgers makes the Scarlet Knights the second-most common opponent the Pride. The only team Hofstra has faced more in its history is Towson (36 meetings).
Ohio State, which defeated Hofstra 12-11 in Columbus last season, leads the all-time series, 4-0.
Hofstra will have one more home game before beginning Colonial Athletic Association play as the Pride host Columbia on April 2. Hofstra will then open conference play at William & Mary on April 8.
