To Our Dear Hofstra Family,

Today marks the 10^th anniversary of our son Nicholas' passing.  We ask ourselves how is this even possible? Never did we think that we would have to say goodbye to our son and while the tear in our hearts will never heal, we take comfort in knowing that we are keeping the promise we made to Nick that others following in his footsteps would benefit from his life. 

Being part of the Pride meant everything to Nick. He once said that when he was back at school it was as if nothing bad was happening and life was normal.  While Nick's goal was remission, his dream was to return to Hofstra. 

We will never forget how the parents and his teammates were the backbone that held us up during this most difficult time in our lives.  We certainly miss watching the boys on the playing field and know that those very special memories will remain with all of us forever. 

Tomorrow, the HEADstrong Foundation will join thousands of organizations and individuals around the world that will come together for #GivingTuesday to celebrate giving and kick-off the holiday giving season.
