Tip-off from the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex is slated for 7 p.m.

Hofstra (14-6, 6-2 CAA) has won two straight and four of its last five to stay tied atop the CAA standings.

The Pride won both of its games last week, including a 96-92 triple overtime victory over Northeastern on Thursday and a 91-63 rout of William & Mary on Sunday, to continue its strong play as of late.

Senior guard Juan'ya Green earned CBS Sports and CAA Player of the Week honors on Monday and Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association and GoHofstra.com Student-Athlete of the Week honors on Tuesday after leading Hofstra to the wins as he averaged 26.5 points, 10.5 assists and six rebounds per outing. He leads Hofstra in scoring and assists this season with 18.1 points and 6.9 assists. Sophomore center Rokas Gustys leads the squad in rebounds with 10.7 caroms per game and ranks fourth in scoring at 12.6 points per outing.

Elon brings a 12-9 overall record and a 3-5 conference mark into Thursday's game. The Phoenix have lost two straight and four of its last five games. Tanner Samson leads the team with 14 points per game, while Luke Eddy is second with 11.4 points per contest.

This will be the second of the two regular season meetings this season between Hofstra and Elon with the Pride earning a narrow 80-76 victory over the Phoenix back on January 9. Gustys had a monster game in that contest with 19 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks, while Green posted 18 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.

Hofstra is 4-0 all-time against Elon with the Pride sweeping the season series last year, the first for the Phoenix in the Colonial Athletic Association. The first-ever meeting between the schools occurred during the 2009-10 season as Hofstra routed Elon, 70-46, in the NIT Season Tip-Off.
